Le désastre de Fukushima vu à travers les yeux du docteur Hida, 96 ans, survivant et témoin de la bombe atomique de Hiroshima. Après avoir soigné les irradiés pendant 60 ans, il continue de se battre pour un monde meilleur, dénonçant avec humour et provocation l’attitude des pouvoirs publics. Son association, Hidankyo, a été nominée pour le Prix Nobel de la Paix.
“De Hiroshima à Fukushima” montre comment les autorités japonaises essayent de minimiser l’impact réel des radiations sur la population pour ne pas avoir à indémniser les victimes et à payer leurs soins médicaux. “L’histoire semble se répeter depuis le bombardement atomique de 1945” dit me docteur Hida.
The Fukushima nuclear disaster is seen through the eyes of the charismatic, and socially committed, Doctor Hida. An eyewitness and survivor of the Hiroshima atom bomb, he has been the doctor of irradiated people for more than 60 years. At the age of 96, he keeps fighting for a fairer world, using humour and provocation to denounce official attitudes. His association, Hidankyo has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
“From Hiroshima to Fukushima” focuses on how the Japanese authorities are trying to minimize the real impact of radiation so they won’t have to indemnify the victims and pay for medical care. ‘History seems to repeat itself since the 1945 atomic bombing,’ says Dr Hida.
